I met up with Crystal and Daniel a few weeks ago for their engagement session at Hermann Park. They are such a cute couple!

Only natural light was used for this entire photo session if remember it right. No flash, no reflectors folks.

You could be here! – Beautiful backdrop for Bluebonnet Portraits 2011

You could be here!!

These photos were taken this past weekend. We drove out to the country this past weekend and found a few places on public property that is suitable for bluebonnet portraits and doesn’t require you to be next to the freeway. I thought this would be a great backdrop for portraits! As a native Texan, I especially thought this location is super cool! Ok folks, now that you know there are bluebonnets, you don’t have to be afraid to set up a bluebonnet session, they do exist this year!!!! The coolest part is that with the rain we are getting this week, this field will be even more dense as there is more to bloom!!!!

Rory – Houston, TX Teen Portrait Photographer

I last photographed Rory a year a half ago when I had my studio at The Gallery. Now 15, I met up with her and her mother at Hermann Park the other day for an updated session. Rory is a beautiful girl who is a natural in front of the camera and takes direction so well! I told her mother she would probably be great modeling.

Flash back to the fall, I photographed Molly at Hermann Park in the Houston Garden Center. She was a little shy at first, but she came around. Just adorable!

This was when I first saw Molly. She was at quite the distance. Didn't want to be photographed, saying "No pictures." So skinking cute!

Don't kill me Paige, I thought this pic was too sweet to leave out.

Drake – Houston, TX Newborn Baby Photographer

Meet the newest addition of the Nygren family, Drake! He is so precious, and was so alert the whole session and only 8 days old! Mommy Leah is the owner and lead artist at Your Beautiful Face. When clients ask me for referrals for makeup and hair, this is who I recommend. Her staff is top notch!

A warm welcome to the 2011 bluebonnet season.

We are now booking sessions out in the bluebonnets. Session fees remain only $150 for the Houston area on a date of your choice. Outside of the Houston area varies, inquiry with me directly.



I will have two dates with special rates. Those dates are the morning of April 9th in Chappell Hill and Saturday April 16th in Independence, TX.
Make a daytrip out to the country and let your kids play in the bluebonnets. I found a great location late last season when I was out with my family and plan on going back.

What’s the cost?
MH Photography has two different packages for you to choose from.

Session A $299 (plus tax)
Mini Session lasting 20 minutes
1-8×10, 2-5×7

**Upgrade to one hour session for only $50 more

One hour photo session

No mileage or travel fees added for these two dates. These rates are for just these dates only, so book early! Call 281-914-2370 to reserve your session today! Fee due when you book which date and time slot you would like.

If you are unable to make either of these days, we are happy to book a custom session for you for our normal sitting fee of $150 plus any applicable travel/mileage charges. Sessions on the weekends outside of this special offer require a minimum print purchase of $300.

Brides, Bellies, and Babies !!!

MH Photography has expanded over the past 5 years from wedding photography to photography for the whole family. Our brides have turned into mommies!! Having photographed well over 100 weddings, we are so proud that our brides are asking us to photograph their children. We want to be your photographer for life. We photograph parties, business headshots, corporate events, charity events, and commercial projects as well.

We are excited to unveil the 2011 Watch Me Grow Program. Do you know someone expecting a baby who values photographs? We have different levels of membership to this baby plan. Beginning as early as the pregnancy stage, MH Photography will document your baby’s growth in pictures. Included now in the baby plan are birth announcements and web ready images to share on Facebook or any other electronic media sources. Enroll early, as we are only taking 2 new members a month. We have one slot remaining for a new member for March.

Today I had the pleasure of photographing the ladies of Stewart Title in Tomball, TX. The neutral tones in the lobby were a great backdrop and the large windows provided a nice softbox effect. I used just a dash of fill flash to finish it off.
